Waypoints, Routes and Tracks

The Waypoints, Routes and Tracks list is accessible from the Atlas map window by pressing the list icon on the r.h.s. of the bottom menu bar.

On/Off button

When waypoints, routes or tracks have been imported or recorded succesfully they will appear in the waypoints, routes and tracks list which is accessible by touching the list icon on the bottom r.h.s. of the map window.

route_list

The button to the left of the waypoint, route or track will be either red or green. If it is red, you need to touch the button to activate the waypoint, route or track to see it on the map.

When routes and tracks are imported/recorded they will automatically be on and viewable on the map when loading has completed.

We recommend that you only have the Waypoints, Routes and Tracks switched on when you need to view them on the map. To have a number of them switched on at one time will mean that the application is trying to populate the map with all that is activated and this could impair the speed of map panning, zooming and rendering.

Please also take note of the recommended files sizes for import in the sections titled Import a Route and Importing Waypoints.

Information arrow

On the r.h.s. of the listed items is an arrow this will take you to the information screen for tracks and routes which shows how many points the track or route consists of. With waypoints it will take you to the waypoint editor window. In a future build of Atlas we will be adding track and route editor windows so that you can enter more information.

Deleting

There are two ways you can delete waypoints, routes and tracks from the list:

  • Drag your finger to the left across the arrow on the r.h.s. of the list item and a Delete button will appear. press this to delete.
