File Import and Export

Using simple drag and drop you can import and export geotagged data to / from RouteBuddy.

Files in the following formats can be imported or exported to / from RouteBuddy: .GPX .LOC .CSV .KML/KMZ and TomTom’s OV2.

Four types of data can be transferred:

• Name
• Description
• Latitude Coordinate
• Longitude Coordinate

Import

For import, you can either drag a file of an appropriate type into the map pane or use the Import command from the File menu.

CSV data is assumed to be in “longitude,latitude,name,description” format. To reverse the longitude and latitude fields, hold down the Option key while performing the import/export command.

Export

Selecting Export from the File menu will export either your current document, or the currently selected objects, in the format of your choice.
