How to move around a Map

Hand

move Click the Hand icon in the toolbar and with the hand on the map, click and hold the left mouse button and you can drag the map around the screen to move to a different area of the map.

If your Mouse has a scroll wheel this can be used scroll upwards and the map will move to the South, scroll downwards and the map will move to the North.

If you have a Mighty Mouse scroll upwards and the map will move to the South, scroll downwards and the map will move to the North. Scroll to the right and the map will move to the west, scroll to the left and the map will move to the east.

Trackpad – on Apple’s newer laptops that aid scrolling by using both fingers on a trackpad, this the fastest and most intuitive way of moving around the map.

Note that due to the image intensive data in RouteBuddy maps the loading may not keep up with you.

Zoom

zoom Click the Zoom icon or name on the toolbar and with the magnifying glass on the map, place it upon the centre of the area to which you want to zoom in or out, then click the left mouse button to zoom in, and the right mouse button to zoom out.

When the Zoom tool is selected, you can Zoom to a defined area by clicking with the left mouse button and dragging with the zoom tool. When you release the left mouse button a gray shaded area will appear to show the area that you will zoom into.

Opt + and Opt – can also be used to zoom in and out.

The slide bar on the left side of the Map Window can also be used to zoom in + and out -.
