Using Search

Click on the Search tool either in the Library list or in the Toolbar, or use Cmd+F. RouteBuddy will take you to the Search window which will show the same map view you were looking at either in your Locations or Place folder.

The bottom of Search window Content Area will change into a Find facility where you can choose to Find by Address; by all Points of Interest or by a sub-category of Points of Interest. Go to the Find a Location topic for more details on searching for an address or point of interest.

It is important to understand that the search window is a facility to search only. Once you have found the address or point of interest you are searching for, drag it into your Place folder to store the address or point of interest to use however you wish e.g. make a route.

We advise that unless you are using a Place folder which you have previously set up, that you set up a new Place folder before you go into Search so that you have somewhere to readily drag the addresses and Points of Interest you have found and want to use.

You will not be able to save the waypoint in the Search window therefore the waypoint tool is grayed out.
