Change RouteBuddy Preferences

In addition to the many ways to manually adjust the way RouteBuddy appears on screen, the Preferences window offers some more options.

Access the Preferences window from the RouteBuddy menu by clicking on RouteBuddy and then Preferences:

General Preferences

After clicking the “General” icon you will be able to define:

prefs_appearance

Appearance:

  • Coordinates: – Choose the style of coordinates you would like to appear. For example, in the Waypoints information panel the coordinates will appear in your chosen style.

Online Maps:

  • Choose which online map provider you would like to default to when using the online map tool which takes you to the same view in the online map as the view you are looking at in RouteBuddy.

Routing

After clicking the “Routing” icon you will be able to define: prefs_routing

Hazards:

  • You can click to select none of these hazards to avoid or any combination of them.

Navigation:

  • Choose whether you want the spoken guidance switched on when you use RouteBuddy for navigation.

Routing:

  • Select to route by either: quickest journey or shortest distance

Devices

After clicking the “Devices” icon you will be able to choose to: prefs_devices

Software Update

After clicking on the “software update” icon you will be able to set RouteBuddy to automatically check for software updates at chosen intervals.
