RouteBuddy awarded Best of Expo

RouteBuddy is pleased to announce it has won the Best of Expo award for Professional Mac Software from Macitynet. The MacProf area of Macitynet summed up RouteBuddy as “GPS made easy” and from demonstrations of the current beta saw that there would be “a lot of tools” for users as RouteBuddy matures in the future. What stood out to Macity was RouteBuddy’s capacity to expand its features – big promise for the Pro.

RouteBuddy at Paris Expo

Throughout the very busy five day Apple expo, which ran from 10 am to 7 pm each day, the RouteBuddy stand was crowded with people from all over Western and Eastern Europe, along with some visitors from as far away as North and South America along with Australasia, Malaysia and Singapore. Our Malaysian users were also pleased to hear of the imminent release of RouteBuddy Road Maps for Malaysia to use in combination with their maps of Singapore. We found that many French, Belgian and Dutch users favoured TomTom® and Mio® devices and requested that RouteBuddy support these devices as soon as possible. RouteBuddy have now opened an urgent todo to add this to the software.

RouteBuddy – parlez-vous Français?

From the Apple expo in Paris we have had many requests for localisation of RouteBuddy into French and will soon begin the work for RouteBuddy and its web site to be available en Français. People from a wide range of backgrounds visited the RouteBuddy stand and were shown how RouteBuddy could work for them and their business. In return the RouteBuddy Team gained valuable insight and feedback on how to improve and add features to RouteBuddy for future releases. On a professional basis RouteBuddy hosted individual meetings on request with industry technicians, business users and departments requiring specialised mapping needs on the Mac. These meetings were of great value and indicated to all parties how we can work together in the future. An executive from the French Government mapping organisation ‘IGN’ summed RouteBuddy up when he said “RouteBuddy is the ‘iPhoto’ of Mapping on the Mac, plus!”. Apple expo Paris has been a great success for RouteBuddy and we look forward to future shows where we can meet with our users and future clients.
