RouteBuddy brings the GPS world together having evolved into the leading consumer and business application for managing GPS data and digital maps.
As iTunes tamed millions of music files across the world into a recognizable and orderly file structure, so RouteBuddy takes command of GPS data management on Apple’s Mac computers.
The thousands of POIs that are installed on personally owned Mac compatible GPS devices can now be safely backed up and managed on users computers. Creating a new journey is made so much easier when a GPS user can see the big picture on their computer and by using large screen management on a Mac. For analysis and creation of new routes and tracks from users geo-data files, as well as export to GPS, work is made easy and simple when done in RouteBuddy. Conversely at the end of any journey the transfer of collected data into RouteBuddy for later use, sharing in the geo-community, or creating new Waypoints, Routes or Tracks for profitable means, just couldn’t be any easier.
On the internet web sites are heavily laden with collection after collection of freely offered or small fee downloads of POIs, interesting Routes for vehicles, and a wealth of Tracks for those who want to maximise their outdoor lifestyle when exploring new trails. Never before has it been possible to successfully manage, let alone sort or store geo-data, in an effective and easy manner and then, with a simple click, send it to your favorite GPS device.
RouteBuddy 2.0 offers powerful management of geo-data and combined with its online store of an ever growing collection of road maps from around the world has become essential tool for getting greater use and productivity out of any Mac compatible GPS supported by RouteBuddy. A GPS on its own does what it does but by combining a GPS with RouteBuddy gives any user a creative and powerful combination of software and hardware which truly breaks the mould.
