Delete

Delete waypoints, routes and tracks from your Place file or Place folder

  • In your Place file or folder, highlight the items you want to delete in the Browser View area of the Content Panel.
  • Press the Backspace or Delete key or use right click and choose the Delete Option.
  • Aternatively, select an item (waypoint, route or track) on the Map View of the Content Panel, right click and Delete.

Delete waypoints, routes and tracks from your Locations

Please note: this means permanent removal from your RouteBuddy database

  • In the locations file highlight the items you want to delete in the Browser View area of the Content Panel
  • Press the Backspace or Delete key or use right click and choose the Delete Option.

Delete waypoints, routes and tracks from your Place folder and Locations

  • In your Place file or folder, highlight the items you want to delete in the Browser View area of the Content Panel.
  • Press and hold the Alt key whilst pressing the Backspace or Delete key
    The importance of this action is that you can easily remove items from the RouteBuddy database which only appertain to a particular Place file or folder.

Delete Place File or Place Folder

  • Highlight the Place File or Place Folder and press the Delete or Backspace key.
    Remember that doing this does not delete the items in the file or folder from the Locations database. So we suggest that if you want to do this that you use the "Delete waypoints, routes and tracks from your Place folder and Locations" options first and then delete the file or folder.
